Gillian Anderson has done so many various roles since the original X-Files, she pretty much doesn’t need or want to stick with Scully forever at this point. I think she did it for closure to the character except Chris Carter can’t seem to do it. It’s always open ended and GA indicates she wasn’t thrilled with the latest turn of events for her character and it’s time to really move on.

Sometimes I’m surprised that both DD and GA decided to do 16 episodes of X-Files because they have really gone forward since the show ended in 2002.

Yeah GA lives and works over here a lot of the time. I've seen her in a number of British shows, she really seems to like it. I'm surprised they decided to do another season. Having a cliff-hanger ending is not good if the actors don't want to do anymore for sure!

Nice pic of David Duchovny. Has anyone read his books? Or gone to a concert? I went to his music concert in Vancouver... and he was doing what he called “Dad dancing” but he was really good looking in person and 5-7 feet away from me... all I could look at was his biceps.

Not really sure cause I haven’t read them, I think his book before this newest one was about baseball in some way.

Gillian Anderson has also co-written a science fiction series too.

Baseball I'm not interested in but the sci-fi, that makes me curious!

Yeah I think I'd pass on the baseball one, too.

Confession: I still haven't seen David Duchovny's first written X-Files episode. Only the bookend shippy Mulder and Scully scenes cause the main part of the storyline has to do with aliens and baseball. I'm really not into baseball, obviously Duchovny is and other Americans

That's the trouble with baseball though, it's just not an international sport in the same way as other sports are. Not that I'm a big sports fan, though.
