Hmm, a busy couple of days.

Personally, I like having separate SG threads. I've seen all the episodes of both series (I know, geek, right?) but I like the separate threads to discuss both.

Personally, I'm still hoping for a board (see signature).

As far as SGU goes, I've been posting what we know in a spoiler thread.

Jerry, would you add a links to the spoiler thread and the Sam/Jack appreciation threads in your main post?

Everyone, the new polls are up, be sure and remember Stargate this month!

I'm actually surprised that the SGU cast seems to be mostly older people thus far. It sounds very less likely to be SG 90210 if you ask me. I'm excited, the birth of a new SG series and I'm around for it, I missed out on SG-1 and Atlantis.

Stargate got a shout-out on The Big Bang Theory tonight. During a paintball battle, Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, and Howard were attempting to escape a hut when Sheldon said the following: "Did you see the episode of Stargate where they found themselves on a planet with a culture loosely based on Earth Athens and Sparta?" When everyone stared at him blankly, he had to move on to another plan. BTW - does anyone recognize the episode as described, because it's not ringing any bells with me.

Was that the one where they only lived a short time and Jack kept getting older? It seems that had a Greek feel to it.

That would be Brief Candle and I thought of that, but in the context of helping a group trapped by an enemy force like Sheldon & company were, it doesn't really fit, IMO. Then again, Sheldon never got to explain the connection so maybe that is the right episode.

It doesn't match any description of any episode I remember. "Brief Candle" is the closest.

Maybe they weren't even reffering to a real episode, just thought they'd put Stargate and something about old cultures in the same sentence and that's it.
