I can see why, he was hearing so many negative things about Jack Bauer from each direction. It was good that David was smart enough to want to meet Jack himself, everyone tried to stop that meeting from occurring.

To be fair, he didn't go into the meeting with an open mind... he thought Jack wanted him dead!

Well I know he didn't go with a open mind, I'm just happy he went to meet Jack for himself to find out answers by himself which lead to him knowing Jack isn't how he was sought out to be.

If someone would've told David Palmer in 2001 that five years later he's trust a guy name Jack Bauer, who at first he's going to believe is responsible for the attempt on his life over his best friends of about 20 years in Mike, he probably would've laughed at that.

It is depression, the way he acted in S2 was just ridiculous, and sad that he threw away 20 years of a friendship. Happy how much trust David had in Jack though, cause his job was really on the line.

It wasn't just his betrayal, he nearly killed Lynne. Betrayal is on thing, but he took it to a whole other level.

Oh yeah the Lynne thing was over board, he acted as a real villain. Lynne was way more loyal than Mike was.
