At the start of Season 1, Mason said that Palmer was going to scale back on CTU etc... good job he didn't go through with that!

Mine is possibly one of the first... maybe the handshake and David apologising to Jack for misjudging him as it was the beginning of one of the great friendships TV has ever known...

Agreed! I loved their first meeting, it seems like the world was trying to not allow Jack/David to meet.

I'm glad David went to see Jack at CTU, and from there. All is history.

It was the shock as well... Palmer turning up, out of the blue, saying 'I want to see Jack Bauer'... what a cliffhanger, knowing that these two legends would meet in the following episode, but for what purpose, was just superb.

Yeah it was fairly obvious- two really good, honest characters were not likely to end up enemies for more than a few episodes... although David and Tony never looked that friendly... polite and civil, yes, but friends? I didn't see it.

I wonder would fans still love David Palmer if he was a good President, made the right choices but was mostly against Jack Bauer all of times... because of him not being able to accept Jack Bauer torturing people and going above the law at times.

Would have been a huge change for the show....

Allison Taylor was liked during Season 7, Season 8 is when the dislike begin. I was upset with the writers.

I'm glad David Palmer, was a Pro Jack Bauer President.
