That’s smart. How old do you have to be to vote?

The drinking age was 18 when I was 18, but it's 21 here in the United States now. You can get drafted and vote here at 18, but you can't legally drink.

Really weird, isn't it? Another weird thing... it's 18 to gamble in some parts of the country (such as Minnesota casinos) yet in Las Vegas you have to be 21. Anna was so disappointed she couldn't touch a slot machine in Vegas yet can go there in Minnesota. I guess in this case we are such a large country (that promotes freedom at every level) so we give each state the ability to make some of their own laws... but in Nevada, prostitution is legal in certain areas yet 18 year olds cannot touch a slot machine?

ETA: Really interesting... there's actually a lot of states that go with age 21. Minnesota is one 1 of 4 states that allow 18 year olds to gamble at casinos. But I find it interesting that even certain casinos can designate the age, either 18 or 21 within each state:

Hmm, that's interesting. I've never gambled much. When I was young, Casinos had been recently introduced in Atlantic City, New Jersey and me and my friends went once, and I've been to Las Vegas a few times, but I didn't gamble a lot there. I went for the shows and the food.

The shows and food are well worth the trip. LOL

Bingo has always been around both sides of my family. We'd go to the mountains of Western PA for the summer. A couple of my family members had cabins there. We'd go into town in the evenings and play Bingo. In PA, at least when I was a child (I'm not sure if the law has been changed) children could play Bingo. I felt so proud sitting next to my maternal Grandmother playing next to her. Of course she kept track of my cards because I'm sure I missed numbers.

That's wonderful. My mother liked to play Bingo.

I'm watching the Funeral Service for Barbara Bush right now. She was a great First Lady and a Class Act.

Bingo is fun.

She definitely was. I might not agree with their politics and I can’t stand her one son, but you simply can’t say anything personally bad about Barbara Bush.

Right?!

I’m sickened. I don’t completely understand what is precisely going on as far as every specific detail but man... it sounds awful.

I’m also glad I never watched Smallville! I always planned to watch eventually but not anymore!
