I am sorry that you don't have great relationships with your sisters. You said it though... things are what they are... it was meant to be this way for whatever reason. Are you closer to one sister than the other?

Thanks for the new thread!

I'm a little closer to my youngest sister, but not by much. I sometimes wish we were closer, but yes, things are what they are.

Do your sisters live near each other and are they close?

Yes they do and yes they are, but they aren't as close as they once were because one of my sisters doesn't really like my other sister's husband. Still, though, yes they're close. They were always closer with each other than they were with me. When we all lived in New York City as little kids and we shared a room, we all got along great, and I was especially close to my youngest sister, but once we moved to New Jersey and I had my own room and they had their own room together it became them against me. I admit that I wasn't a very good older brother, but they weren't angels either and we never really got past the sibling rivalry that we had when we were teenagers. They also pulled a stunt when my father passed away that I think I told you about, and as a result of that I'll never be close with them. If I didn't, I'll PM you about it.

Yes you told me about their manipulation during that time period and I don’t blame you for not seeing them in the same light ever again. Have they ever been to Texas for a visit?

Yes, they came once many years ago when Teresa and I were starting to date. It wasn't an enjoyable visit. Example: We were all staying in a hotel room (we went to San Antonio) and at 6:00 AM while the rest of us were sleeping my sister turned on the TV and blasted the sound and woke us all up, and when I said "What are you doing?" she said "Don't you want to know what's going on in the world?" in a really obnoxious way. It really ticked off me and Teresa. I always said that my sisters got my mother's headstrong personality but they didn't get her kind and warm heart.

Jerry sucks that you do not get to have a closer relationship with your sisters, but it's not like you did not try. The important thing is that there are a lot of other people in your life that appreciate you for the person you are!
Thanks Koni!

I paid $550.00 for my Samsung Galaxy S3 and $670.00 for my Samsung Galaxy S7, and I think both of those prices were ridiculously high. Teresa got a low end Smart Phone called a Samsung Galaxy Avant for around $200.00. The only thing that I like about my Galaxy S7 is that it takes excellent pictures, but I don't take all that many pictures. I don't want to get another cell phone for a long time. The Galaxy S7 also has a sealed battery so if the battery life starts degrading (and it will eventually degrade because every time you charge a phone the battery degrades a little) you'd have to take it somewhere to get a new battery put in, which is a hassle and it's expensive to do that. The Galaxy S3 had a removable battery and a new battery was $6.00. I try to get as much life out of a battery charge as I can by turning off my phone when I'm not using it and keeping it on Ultra Power Saving Mode most of the time when I have it on and as a result I usually only have to charge my phone once a week or even longer than that sometimes. With my S3 I had to change the battery three times in three years because I didn't know then that keeping the battery charged all the time degrades the battery. I've had my S7 two years now and the battery life is almost as good as when I first got it because I don't charge it every day. The main drain on the battery is that a bunch of the phone's apps update every couple of days. I think that the cell phone manufacturers figure that by the time your battery life has degraded to the point where it can't hold a charge for long, people will get a new phone instead of taking their current phone somewhere to get a new battery.

I am only annoyed at some sensor issue that I am still not sure if it's due to the phone or the case that I use. When I bought the phone it had 2 GB RAM and everyone was like this is not enough. Well I specially installed application to see how much RAM I use. It was around 1.2 GB so 2 is still enough for me. But then again I don't use smartphones that much.
It's all a huge racket and many people are like sheep lining up to buy the latest smartphone or iPhone.

I like it because I can organize my thoughts, notes and tasks. I also installed an app for taking pictures and framing them properly. It's useful at work when we write something on the whiteboard that we want to then remember. But that's pretty much it.
That app sounds cool!

Exactly, and once 5G comes out, every current phone will be obsolete. It's all a scam I feel.

Still though I am like an old lady when it comes to using smartphones properly . I am sure that I don't use my phone to its full potential. I mean my phone is business phone that includes encryption for work data and stuff like that and I do not have an idea how to use this .
I get my home e-mails on my phone, but other than that, I'm really not on my cell phone much. If I couldn't get on Fan Forum on my work computer I'd use my cell phone more, but since I can, I'd just rather access Fan Forum and the Internet on my computer.

Wow, lol. People can be strange and yes family can lead the charge. So when you see them you basically are the one going to their places?

Yes, but we haven't gone to either one of their places in years. The last time we saw them was last year at my youngest sister's wedding, and we made sure to just fly up the day of the wedding and fly back the next morning.

We decided to go this weekend instead of tonight because we were both tired and we'll be able able to enjoy the dinner more when we can relax and not be worn out from working all day. Teresa loved her flowers though.

That's too bad, Jerry. The sad reality is there are a lot of siblings that don't get along and/or are estranged mostly. Even though I'd say I have a very close relationship with my sister, it's not a bed of roses either. We bicker from time to time. It's not smooth sailing and we are close. I don't even think we're the norm. I think many people have dynamics like you have with your siblings where you're not really close or get along too much.

Teresa has siblings, right? Is she close with any of them?
