It was neat how they did the seasons collection, so of course I just had to post it.

I liked that Coda linked back to the early Season 1 days of DJo, and she looked truly sad to be leaving that behind.


I liked how Katie played that final scene, where she begs him to stay. You can see all that old longing between them come rushing back.

Yes, the parallel between the s1 finale and the s4 finale was well done. And it would've been a nice place to end the series and it was a great homage to the HS years of DC and DJo. I think it was open ended enough but with hope for DJo in the future. That last scene was well acted by JK, you could feel all the longing and the sadness and the nostalgia and the history between them. Of course, I think JK always do well at the emotional scenes. I watched the s3 finale a few days ago and that last DJo scene was really gut wrenching.

I don't think that Joey chose Dawson over Paris like he was trying to say but I liked that he didn't want to be the one holding her back, regardless of how he felt. I think Joey wanted to stay in Capeside and not run away at the end of s1 so it was weird they had Dawson say that. And of course, I don't quite buy that DJo were holding each other back all season, they were just trying to find their way about the pain at the end of s2. I did like that Joey couldn't help but look back as she left Capeside with Pacey. She knew she was leaving a piece of her heart behind.

I have so many issues with that goodbye speech in S3 finale


I didn't like how, through the entire episode, the writers made it look as if Joey was forcing herself to stay with Dawson.


It was so disrespectful to their feelings for each other. S3 was basically a mess, I don't care what anyone says. Andie/Pacey being destroyed was further proof.

I'm just really glad I'm done with s3 now, that was a tough season to rewatch. I didn't like how the DJo bond was downgraded in that season but it got better again in s4.

Season 4 was basically the path back towards their romantic relationship. Season 5 is where it all set off again


I still treasure that scene where Dawson sat by Mitch's graveside and said "I want to be with Joey. I love her."

^ I didn't like how S3 changed their dynamic. They tried to make Dawson look like a jerk because he rejected Joey at first.

Why should he be expected to just get over the nasty way SHE rejected HIM when he called the cops on her dad (who deserved it)?

On all counts Dawson/Joey and Pacey/Andie both destroyed after a beautiful season for both couples. I nearly gave up on the show at that point

It’s been many years since I posted but I’ve continued to love D/Jo. I’ve had something lingering in my mind, was there a fanfic, and it was quite long that followed the finale but made the story into Dawson and Joey. It was so well written. I think some of the posters in this thread were a part of it. I think it was called Virtual DC, like a virtual season 7. I’m sure it existed and it’s not just my imagination!

Great to still see the thread going strong!
