Yeah, except for his dad dying storyline, all he did was have a scene here or there about him making movies off in California. That was more in Season 6, because he did have that relationship with Jen, but even then i couldn't really get into it. I love Jen, but their relationship was so boring to me. It didn't really stand out.

Dawson was really such an ass in the whole series, he never was attractive to me as a character, Pacey always stood out more. Pacey only looked for affection and love from others because he didnt get it from his own family. Dawson had it all, a family that loves him and a dream career he planned on getting, not to mention a hard hold on Joey but once Joey broke free of him and fell in love with pacey, Dawson became even more of a selfish ass and so many people put up with his bs, Dawson owed Pacey and Joey an apology yet he always acted like the victim in the whole thing and never apologized to them, when both of them were put through hell, both friendships, joey/dawson and pacey/dawson never were the same...

Ik, it's scary. And after the fact, he showed no remorse whatsoever. Did the writers really think he was still likable after that?

Eww that cap
I can't believe the writers didn't think he owed Pacey an apology for that You can tell they were trying to win the audience over to his character again in season 4 after realising they took things a little too far in late season 3, yet they never seemed to consider how important it was for Dawson to acknowledge that he was sorry too for the way he acted when they had Pacey coming to Dawson to say how sorry he was. Dawson was never shown to feel ANY regret for the way he tormented his so-called friends, so we were supposed to just forgive him why? ETA And I think his parents were at fault for a lot of it. Mitch was on that boat with Dawson which was just shameful when he knew the only reason Dawson even cared about the boat race was to beat Pacey by any means possible, and then in episode 403 he's telling Dawson that he knows how unfair it is that he is the hero, yet never got the girl. When really his parents should have sat him down and gven him a good talking too about the way he was treating Joey in season 3, and his actions towards Pacey in that boat race __________________

Seriously! Did he think Joey would run into Dawsons arms just because he saved her BOYFRIENDS life? Mitch couldve said something about the bond between best friends never really breaking and it couldve went with the rest of the tone of the episode. When Pacey came to speak to him at the end Dawsons apology wouldve went perfect there. There was no way I could believe in season 4 "saint Dawson" if he never seemed remorseful of anything. |

It just goes to show that Dawson has some sort of sense of entitlement whenever he does something good and nice. I hate that!

Dont get me started on Mitch and Gail, these two are the main reason why dawson is the way he is, so entitled and also an arrogant ass..... Mitch and Gail wouldn't set Dawson straight because one, thats their little boy and telling him what he doesnt want to hear would only piss off the golden boy and make it unbearable in their household. well i had enough of dawson's attitude he was so in the wrong on how he treated pacey and joey and they both should of demanded an apology from dawson yet they always let him get away with how he treated them! thats what pissed me off about pacey and joey the most, letting this movie freak make them feel guilty. |

I didn't like the way mitch and Gail babied him either because all he learned was that he could do no wrong.

I really could NOT stand Dawson and still dont. They spent so much time on Dawson's love for movies and his constant need to control joey, they could of introduced another love interest for dawson, someone that could be the ONE for Dawson but no they didnt do that because they were hell bent on trying to convince the fans it was only joey for dawson.

He ended up suffering for it because with Joey being his "one," he wasn't hers. It's sad!
