404 cubic inch, 8 cylinder engine. 4 on each side, each pair forming a "V". As opposed to a "straight 8" or a "slant 8". just different configurations.
the 404 was perhaps the most powerful engine put in a car. There were bigger, and the 71 cuda's might have been a bit more, since it was a hemi. But the 404 is legendary __________________

That reminds me, I totally saw a '65 lime green Impala the other day. It was beautiful. Though I prefer my classic cars in blue and black.
