You're thinking of Legacy books Lumiya, which is not the real Lumiya. The real Lumiya is a Marvel comics character who was part of Star Wars before any of these others. She was a cyborg because Luke shot down her ship. Before that she was his love interest, Shira Brie. She was cool.

Ah, Darth Cognus was interesting. She was hired to kidnap Bane and suceeded. She was a merc before a Sith, with an interesting lust for hunting people.

The first one, Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, was good. The second, Darth Bane: Rule of Two, was ok, I liked Darth Zannah best.
Didn't get around to reading the third with Darth Cognus. |
