Are Jedi Liars?
I had a friend pose an interesting assertion to me the other day: Jedi lie routinely. Not only do they lie routinely but by their own Jedi Code it's okay!
 I decided to see how valid this thought was by examining each film for evidence. Short answer: Yes, they are. Both Yoda and Kenobi were economical with the truth in the OT and the prequel Jedi don't seem like the sort of people who'd tell the truth if it wasn't expedient.
