God no, but the title sounds lke it's blaming Star Wars for something dreadful.

It's nothing of the sort.

Star Wars actually wound up saving Marvel Comics from financial ruin in the late 1970s. In order to promote their then-unknown sci-fi story, the Star Wars team gave Marvel Comics the rights to a six-issue comic adaptation of the movie for essentially the price of free.

Oh, ok. That's good. I thought it was something about the Star Wars project enabling Disney to make stupid Avengers movies. I'll read it later.

Because they're Earth's Mightiest Heroes, duh. In all seriousness, the Avengers arguably have the most exciting, thrilling stories in the entirety of the Marvel Universe. Like their counterparts in the DC Universe, the Justice League, the Avengers have a unique attraction because they combine everyone's favorite heroes into one supergroup.
Obviously the guy's never heard of the X-Men.

And btw, it's bull that Star Wars saved Marvel in the late '70s. Marvel didn't need saving, because the X-Men were a great hit then, during John Byrne's run as penciller/co-writer. The X-Men became the most successful thing in comics during his run.
