So I finally watched Wreck it Ralph 2, and I must say it was sooooo much better than I imagined, not that I went in with low expectations or anything. Not saying I prefer it to the first film, but this was a very worthy and sweet sequel with clever writing, interesting character development and the new characters added were so much fun and likeable. People were comparing this movie's interpretation of the world of the internet with the emoji movie and by god this is obviously miles, miles, miles better. I was a little worried with the whole product placement aspect of this film, as that used to dominate some really terrible animated films in the past like Shark Tale but the clever writing saved it from being contrived and knew when to stay focused on the story which was with Ralph and Vanelope's friendship. I won't spoil for anyone who has yet to see this movie, but the ending was actually pretty bittersweet and this movie's message about friendship was spot on.

The Disney princesses scene did come with some concerns regarding their designs, particularly Tiana's, in the trailers, but thankfully they fixed it and they actually didn't look too bad and I loved how they all came to the rescue towards the end of the movie, it got a few laughs from me.

As I typed this, the credits were rolling and there was one scene I was wondering why it wasn't in the movie, even though it was from the trailers that was really more of a teaser trailer. But don't worry, they still included it, and I loved the way they did it, it's like they knew what everyone watching the first time was thinking. Oh, and there's another little Easter egg at the very end of the credits that made me laugh - think one of oldest and most infamous internet memes on youtube and you'll see what I mean, that also made me laugh.

All in all, Wreck It Ralph 2 was a joy to watch and I will for sure watch it again.
