When I first watched Lilo and Stitch a few years ago I didn't know what to expect, but it surprised me so much in how good it was, especially when it came out in the early 2000's, a time which wasn't particularly successful for Disney in the animation department.

lol I forgot but yeah, Disney hit a rough patch in the early 2000's. Most of their releases weren't that good or received well (from what I remember, I feel the only movie that didn't deserved the bashing was Atlantis: The Lost Empire. I thought that was a great film) For me, even though I kind of like Lilo and Stitch, it's one of my least favorite Disney films. It just didn't do much for me compared to their other films IMO.

Yeah, I never understood why it didn't go well. This one and Atlantis is two of my favorites. They are so good and deserve more love.

This one and Brother Bear are the only two films I have seen from the early 2000's. Out of the two I prefer Lilo & Stitch, but that's not to say I don't enjoy some parts of Brother Bear, though I have only seen it about twice. I've never seen Atlantis. It never really looked like something that would particularly grab me. Same goes with Treasure Planet.

^You should try Atlantis. It is really good.

I forgot Brother Bear was also one the movies around the time. And I really enjoy that one too. So Lilo and Sticth, Atlantis and Brother Bear is my favorites from that time with Disney.

Atlantis was pretty good. I have only seen it once but I remember enjoying it.

I loved Lilo and Stich. I think I might have seen it twice in theaters.

OMG, I hate that I forgot about Brother Bear. That is another Disney film that is SEVERLY underrated IMO. I think it's a great film with an amazing message, it's usually forgotten SMH. I agree that you should check out Atlantis, it's a good film and has some very hilarious parts. I remembered liking Treasure Planet but I can also understand if it wasn't some people's cup of tea.

Perhaps I will check out Atlantis at some point.

Back to Lilo & Stitch.

I do as well! 7-year-old me cried so much when Stitch had to leave at the end

Brother Bear is SO underrated

one of my all-time fave Disney animated movies

I’ve seen Atlantis a long time ago when it came out

hate myself for still not having seen Treasure Planet

oh the other standout for me from the early 2000s is Emperor’s New Groove

that, Brother Bear, and Lilo & Stitch are definitely some of my all-time faves
