I did wonder why Kevin Lima never returned to direct the sequel. That's sad they never asked him back. His direction was part of why Enchanted was so successful, and given how disappointed he was, at not being asked to return for the sequel, it's a real shame. Adam Shankman did an ok job with Disenchanted, but I knew there was something missing.

I really loved the first film, a mixture of cute humour and romance

Disenchanted was ok but I felt like it lacked warmth compared to it's predecessor.
