He's a scream to television.
 Genie had a change of personality from the atmosphere he was in, or emotion which was lifted at the time. He was always transforming. I love the scene with Jasmine and Aladdin were he poses as a fly giving Al words to say. __________________

I watched that yesterday on YouTube. I have no shame, I love Genie more than words can describe.
He was very good to Aladdin until Jafar summoned him instead. I'm glad Genie was saved from Jafar's reach. When Aladdin freed him.  __________________

I always find Genie to be one of the most underrated Disney characters because most people tend to view him as a comic relief for the most part, but the truth is that he had a pretty dramatic story behind him too, just like other characters if not more. I mean, like everyone else he had his feelings and wishes but he was trapped in that lamp for ages not being able to live for himself, not even having space or freedom that everyone should have a right to have. All he had was a short lived hope that maybe someone would set him free but as every next "master" coming and going this hope shattered in pieces every time. And the fact that he still ended up being such a good friend to Aladdin although he must have had a lot of "masters" before him says a lot about the fact that Genie was also smart enough to recognize a pure and kind hearted person in Aladdin.
