Totally agree. I was so glad to see her get what she deserved, but she was such an amazing character.

Haha. She kind of was... But it was nice to see her get a comeuppance of sort.

I left the movie feeling like Annette was cheated some. I know movies don't always need the cookie cutter happy ending,but I can't help thinking she deserved that.

I thought the ending was nice. It seemed like she didn't regret anything, and knew that she loved Sebastian and he loved her, and found peace in that.

Oh, for sure. I remember being younger when I watched it for the first time and being SO bitter that he had died and they couldn't be together. I was just wholly offended by the unhappy ending, lol.

I was the same. I was like no way can they have killed him off, and was annoyed after watching everything so far that that was how it ended. I guess watching all those Disney films when you're young sets you up to always expect a happy ending.

I've grown to appreciate better, too. It's just after the intial viewing you're left thinking "NO, this can't be it". I was sad, especially because both Annette and Sebastian(despite the crap he pulled) where both victims of a deceitful witch.

Linds, did you ever see any of the sequels to CI? I haven't, but I hear they were awful.
