The movie ends with Newt giving Dumbledore the necklace Depp had that sealed their blood pact, and asks if he thinks he can break it. Dumbledore says he thinks he can. So seeing as he does fight him later on, it's safe to say he does break the spell and fights and defeats him.

I feel like that's so convoluted.
I guess it's different than an Unbreakable Vow (what Snape and Narcissa do) but then you can say Grindelwald should've demanded an Unbreakable Vow be done. __________________
