CGI does wonders.

Someone in my etymology board posted about a newborn girl named:

Spoiler:

A girl.

Reminded me of Mr. Anakin here.

Hayden is one of those names that should be a boy's name but then you got Hayden Panettiere (sp)

It is male no matter how many girls are named it. Can't change origins. Michael and James are rising in use amongst females, but it'll always be male. Just like names that most people think are female but are male in origin: Haley, Lindsey, Ashley, Courtney, Tracy, Morgan, Shirley, Beverly, Hilary, Kimberly, Harper, Bailey. Tyler, Taylor, Mackenzie, Madison, Addison, etc.

Shirley and Beverly were boy names? Mind = blown. I thought the "y" ending made then sound feminine. Mackenzie is also girlie to me,

I hates James and Michael being used for girls. What's wrong with Michelle?

Are.

Or Michaela. Perfectly fine name, too.

Yea, I think Michaela and Michelle are super pretty. If I ever had a daughter I'd name her Natalie Michelle.

Very pretty. Natalie is pretty popular now, but Michelle hasn't been super popular since the 80s. Michaela (in various atrocious spellings) is what is popular now.

Haha, someone posted the name of a newborn on my etymology board last week: Jason Joshua, and one poster replied, "the mid 70's to the early 80's called..."

I'd rather see that over some atrociously spelled trendy named like Jaiden Jaxon.

Michelle should be more popular. But there are a lot of popular names I don't get the popularity of --- ahemMadisonahem

I think Joshua Jason sounds better.

ewwww Jaiden Jaxon. That's an alien name.

Madison means "SON of Maude", so irks me that it's given to girls.

I wonder if Splash had something to do with it...

Maude on its own is gross too

I always figured it was Splash, but the movie is so old you'd think the popularity would've went bye bye by now.

Could be girls that saw this as kids or teens, and now that they're having children, that's when the name really shot up.
