In local news, I feel so bad for this guy. He was walking with his almost 9-month pregnant wife, when a drunk driver crashed into them, killing her instantly. An emergency C-section was done and hopefully their daughter survives. :no:

Baby Adalyn Rose has hit a big milestone today as doctors removed her breathing tube. Her father James Alvarez says she is stabilized and now opens her eyes and recognizes his voice.

Good thing she was able to grow and it wasn't like the mom was only 4-5 months along in the pregnancy.

How would you feel if you found out a relative had a history of DUI and caused the death of a pregnant woman? Imagine that being your mom. :thud: I wonder if the killer has children... I'd feel so angry!

I'd disown the person.

The father updated local news today and said his daughter is improving every day. Things are looking good so far regarding her health. :D

My great grandfather lost all his kids except for my grandma. So he was very overprotective of her.

There was twins, older than my grandma. One died shortly after birth and the other in the university years of a brain tumor.
Then there was another one younger than my grandma who died shortly after birth.
My great grandma wore black for many years. When my mom was born, my grandmother told her she wasn't allowed to wear black anymore. I don't remember my great grandma ever wearing anything lighter than dark purple.

That woman should get life in prison at least.

I hope the little girl grows up strong.
