Welcome to the Non-Ewan Recommendations Thread.

We spend a lot of time recommending movies, TV Shows, Books, Music, etc. that have everything to do with Ewan (e.g., Big Fish) on other threads. But, we also like to recommend things that have nothing at all to do with Ewan (e.g., every other film by Tim Burton). Now we have a place to discuss all the various pop-culture goodies we'd like to recommend to our fellow Ewan fans. After all, we have the same good taste in men.

Most people know who Ewan is, I think. At least, vaguely so. He is listed in Entertainment Weekly as one of the Top 40 Box Office earners under 40. (Actually, Hayden is also on that list as well).

I don't know who his wife is. I am assuming she landed him because she knew him first. If he had met you first, might be an entirely different story.

I was glad to see Ewan on the list. SW helped to put him there.
I remember going to the Today Show a few years back cause I thought Ewan would be on - turns out information was wrong and he didn't appear in person OR via satellite - but I asked a tourist if he had been on yet, and the lady had no idea who I was talking about.

Dumb lady. Ewan is only an international movie star!

So, I finally did it. I switched to DirectTV so I can start watching S5 of FNL on October 27th instead of next summer. No, I'm not addicted at all.

Same here, lol. I even got excited when my cousin told me he was fan of Ewan because of Star Wars...

Me: "I wanna see that movie with Jim Carrey because I love Ewan McGregor"
Cousin: "Finally an actor you like that I approve"
Me: *wide open eyes* Oh, you're his fan too??
Cousin: "Of course! He's THE master Obi Wan!"

To be On Topic - has anyone seen Alec's movies other than SW and which ones are the best?

I saw him in the original Oliver Twist. It's good, you know the story. And although I've never seen Lawrence of Arabia, I'm sure that's very good as well. It is a classic, after all.

I don't know many people who don't like Ewan. I also don't know many people who don't know who he is. Than again, I live in LA, so there you go.

If you girls go see RED, you'll have to tell us all about it. I probably won't see it, but I like that Helen Mirren wields a machine gun. And you can never go wrong with Malkovich.

The final season of FNL starts on Oct 27th. I can't wait!!!

It's fun to see old people wielding guns and being bad ass. Malkovich is in Secretariat. He wears funny clothes.

No Oliver! is the musical from the 60s. Oliver Twist is a non-musical from the 40s.

Sometimes Blockbuster is lame.
