No, he told them he had a fiancee and she couldn't attend the parties because she worked.
ah, okay I forgot that. And now I'm unclear whether Phil knew Stephen turned him into a female. If he didn't, he has LOTS of reasons to be pissed.

I don't think Phil knew. He was also clueless as to where all the expensive new things were coming from. A Christmas bonus in July?

ITA.

It's hard to say what Phillip did and did not know, but I definitely think he knew that Stephen didn't want to tell his co-workers he was gay. And that probably hurt Phillip. He wanted to go to those functions with him.

True, but he so much wanted to have a perfect life with Stephen that he was probably wearing blinders.

For sure and when he found out the truth it was like a punch in the gut.

Yes, I think that was definitely it.

We're focusing on all the sad parts.

Yea, this movie is a comedy.

It is funny how that youtube video has the still of Jim in his speedo on the phone, pretending to be one of his references.

I know! Especially since that scene was only what? 30 seconds?

Jim should ALWAYS keep his clothes on. It weirds me out to see him in tight pants or speedos.

Maybe less. Of all scenes.

Well, Jim doesn't have an ugly body or anything so it is not like it is grotesque to look at.

True.

I just finished watching an episode of "I (almost) Got Away With It" about Stephen Russel! The movie was actually really close to the true story. Remember the conversation we had about the red hot pants? Apparently Stephen really did sneak out in red lady's pants (they weren't hot pants though).

True. He looks better than the real Stephen would in them.

It's awesome that the movie didn't deviate much from the real story. With someone as crazy as Stephen, there's no reason to make changes.

Wow. Red is such a vibrant color, how could they not have noticed?

They thought he was a visitor.

The best part of the episode was when they interviewed Stephen's old boss. You know what he said? "Aside from the embezzlement he was the best CFO I ever had." You have to admire his honesty.

After watching IAGAWI my dad insisted upon seeing the movie, so I just finished watching it with him and my mom. He really enjoyed it, which surprised me.

They did simplify some things for the film, but that couldn't be helped.

Wow, they actually simplified things? Do you remember what?

for your dad liking the movie. Is ILYPM not his type of film usually?

you know what, he probably would've been more successful had he been honest.
