The wig certainly makes it worse. It may have been a little better without it.

I don't think Emma was that bad. I just laugh at that recent quote where Ewan basically said it was.

Funny how Ewan was trying to sell the movie by dissing Clueless, and now he thinks Emma is crap.

Well, to be clear, he didn't say Emma was crap. It was more like he thought he wasn't right for the part and the world.

Plus, the wig... it poisons everything.

hmmm, having never read the book. I don't know if he's right, but he was cheeky in the role. Were people cheeky during Emma's time?
