Were people still confused by the movie ending? I thought it was obvious. Hmmm. So different from the book, though, since in the book Jack redeems himself and the hotel gets destroyed, so there's nothing to suck his soul in. Book Jack has a happier ending of the two.

Damn! People have really good hearing or they are very perceptive. I didn't notice the tricycle sound. I think that's creative on the director's part.

I never read Apt Pupil or seen the movie. Have you?

And I definitely do not want to see Machinist or Exorcist. *cringe*

The Exorcist isn't scary.

My brother and I laughed.

Machinist is more psychological. You see why he's skinny at the end. And you don't see his frail form all the time at all. But it's funny that a lot of the still images used show his scrawny abdomen, making it seem that the entire movie is about seeing his thin body.

I am sensitive. I'd be thinking about it late at night and fearing a demon will target me.

Seeing even a second of his frail body hurts me. I can't believe he did that to himself. I'd ask for CGI to be used if I was an actress and the script called for that kind of skinniness.

True, true. The other night the thought of demons coming at me just randomly popped into my head and I didn't even watch a scary film.

And then yesterday I was waiting for this panel to start and before it was a Constantine panel with Keanu Reeves. I was like, damn it! A movie about hell and demons is going to keep me up tonight.

My former friend used to laugh at every scary movie.

She made me watch it when we were kids.

I ran out of the room upset. And she literally, literally dragged me back to the room and made me watch it.

As an adult and no longer being friend with her I have looked back on many things and realized she was an abusive friend. She was so bossy and spoiled and manipulated situations to get her way. I was too nice or too meek to stick up for myself.

I wish I had realized that as a child.
