Rebecca is one of my favorite books.

I don't put anything in my parents' basement or attic that I ever hope to find again.

Unfortunately we run out of room and it has to go in the basement. At least the stuff I put down there is organized with all my stuff.

Rebecca is one of the only books I was given to read during my school years that I actually liked. The movie didn't compare - sorry, Hitchcock.

I like plenty of books given in HS.

I'd say I liked about half the books I had to read in HS. Rebecca was undoubtedly my favorite of the bunch, though.

I had to read Things Fall Apart in H.S. and I hated it. I loved Hamlet, MacBeth, & Rebecca the most.

I read Rebecca on my own.

MacBeth is great!

I hated The Red Badge of Courage.

I read Rebecca for school and then re-read it on my own.

Everything by Shakepeare is great!

And, confession time, I never actually read Jane Eyre! I was supposed to, but I didn't.

Vic is reading it and says it is boring.

I cheated and read the cliffnotes of The Red Badge of Courage to pass the tests.

Jane Eyre? So, I'm not missing anything apparently.

I'm sure you weren't the only one.

I can't care about Jane Eyre. It's not that it's difficult to read. Just that the story doesn't interest me. I want to know what happens, but it's just so difficult for me to pick up the book.

I don't think I was.

I've been having trouble picking up Tess of the D'Ubervilles.

^ too long for you?

I loved that book. I liked the way it was written because I could never be that poetic .

The poetry is nice but it's too much to absorb. I find myself exhausted after one chapter.
And I am tired of this milkmaid era. I want the drama to start already.
