I agree. Offensive, but funny. We should come up with 50 Reasons Why LOTR Rules My World and all that crap.

oh yes, i was actually thinking about that too so let me just think of something then we can post all the reasons why we love the movie. Let's give him the reasons why it rules!

bwah!! I only read to the third reason and alread found my fave one:
3.Quality Control at New Line. Millions of copies of the LOTR DVDs have thick black bars at the bottom and top of the screen throughout the film. Didn't anyone catch this? You know what happens at the end, in the extreme foreground and extreme upper sky? Neither do I. Bush league, guys. hmmmm...perhaps this is the WIDESCREEN VERSION??? BWAHAHAHA!!! I love this!! People who wrote this should be burned at the stake....after we make them watch ROTK 500 times....*grins evilly* auugh, you know what? I cant even finish this piece of $hi7**GAGS AND DIES**....PLEASE tell me we can get a pettition going in here to eliminate every single one of thier reasons?? Actually, never mind; I'll do it myself. __________________

I don't mean to be the weird one here, but did anyone consider the whole list is meant as a joke???
 Most of the reasons and the explanations of them just sound a little too ridiculous and naiive not to be meant as a big joke. I kind of don't think it's really meant to be taken seriously. That's just how it reads to me. __________________

I quite agree, Lettie.  Just people pulling a joke to get attention, when really they absolutely loved the films.  This is just one that I thought particularly stupid.12. Return of the Living Dead. In FOTR, if you watch closely during the Inn scene, Frodo and his crew are shown getting stabbed by the Ring Wraiths. Then, five seconds later, they are fine again. Note to the director: try proofreading your movie before you release it to the public. Okay, one...if you're going to bash the film, do it correctly. If you've seen the movie, you know that the Hobbits don't get stabbed; the pillows were only there to be a diversion. (What?...the feathers weren't a big enough clue to that?)  Were we watching the same movie?And I second that we should make a list of why LoTR rules.   Kate__________________

The lsit made me laugh because it made me think of all the parts in the movie it spoofed. *grins* I'm up for a why LOTR rocks list.

Hmm, lets see, the first reason can be: Becase even the smallest characters have great personalities and parts to play in the story (think Hama from Rohan). But perhaps not; if we speak for the movies only, then I think the first reason should be as follows: Because even though the plot was changed around a little, the feelings in the films were 100 percent parallel to those in the books or something to that effect.
another good reason: becasue Aragorn is HOT AS ALL HELL!!  sorry, just my own little obsession-like-thing going there...I watched half of the extended TTT today, and was kind of dissapointed that there wasnt anything added to the "Good Dream" sequence...ahh, well. I was drooling enough, I guess...__________________

The guy who wrote that list do not know what he talks about. One of the reasons (he wrote) was that there were gonna be a sequal and it sucked that Peter Jackson tried to get more money out of the film. Somehow I think that guy gotta learn to check out the litterature a little bit more.__________________
