I found the Lord of the Rings campaign by chance, I was bored one day, joined and the start voting. And as a terrible fan that I am, I forgot all about the board for a while but then I remembered and I haven't looked back since. When I first saw Lord of the Rings I fell in love with the films, and I love having somewhere I can go and fangirl about all of the awesomeness. Plus, now we can all get excited together about The Hobbit this year. The Lord of the Rings board may not be the busiest, but it's a wonderful place and we're having a lot of fun there. So glad we can finally say we reached 50,000 posts!

I had never been interested in LOTR, I saw all the trailers when it first came out and thought it wouldn't be my kind of movie. I remember reading The Hobbit when I was younger but couldn't really remember too much about it. When I met my fiancé he told me I needed to watch it, so I thought I'd give it a try and I couldn't believe how amazing it was. I instantly fell in love with the story and the characters. After watching all three movies over one weekend I decided I needed to read the books and fell more in love with middle earth. I felt like it was real and the characters were real, a book series has never got to me as much as LOTR has. I knew I had to come to this board and gush about the epicness of LOTR and I fell in love with the board too. Everyone was so welcoming and it was so nice to be able to talk about my obsession with fellow posters. I've never strayed too far from the board as LOTR will always be such a big part of my life as well as this board. We all get along really well and we are a small group but it makes us feel closer! This board is one of my favourites on FF and I can't wait till we get to 100,000 posts!
