I think that when he was dying of cancer the Hand offered him the Immortality thing in exchange of letting them use the company to smuggle drugs and other things.

So they just offered their services to him? Was it because he's rich so he's well-known and the fact that The Hand thinks he'll be vulnerable so he'll say yes right away? I'm trying to make sense of how The Hand got hold of Harold cause we had very little backstory on that.

Maybe they found out about Danny/IF and they knew Harold was a friend of the Rands so they got to him in his vulnerable state.

That wasn't explained... I think it was only mentioned that the Hand wanted to use the Rand company so they used the cure for cancer to get Harold to collaborate, I don't remember they mentioning any big plan regarding the IF

I'm not sure if it was Harold, Gao or Bakuto who said that The Hand was looking for a weapon that would destroy them, the Iron Fist. Although personally, I don't think Danny alone can take down The Hand. So I'm hoping that they'll be back in The Defenders which I think they might be.

I just hope Joy won't be in the dark side for too long. She probably has her reasons why she's allying herself with Davos so I'm hoping it's just her angry phase right now.

I think it was Harold who said that because he wanted some leverage over The Hand... I gotta rewatch it to pay better attention to details

Ohh I agree, I don't think Danny alone will be able to destroy the Hand, I'll like to see in The Defenders some mention that they need to work together to actually get that done

I think she's hurting and grieving so it's understandable that she isn't thinking straight atm... hopefully once Davos start talking about really hurting Danny, she comes to her senses.

I wasn't sure how I felt about The Hand being the baddie on this show at first but after watching everything, it all makes sense.

And that would be a great reason for both Danny & Ward to save Joy. I feel like Davos will use her grief but I hope Joy doesn't actually kill people just to get to Danny.

I liked that The Hand was the general villain... but IDK I think the Hand could've been more in the background, like pulling Harold's strings or something. It did feel like a season with a lot of bad guys together.

Same here, I don't want Joy crossing that line

And Gao/The Hand was already the villain for DD so seeing them in IF was a rehash, so to speak. Bakuto was good but he wasn't as terrifying to me as a villain compared to Fisk and Kilgrave.

Specially since I had basically just watched Daredeviil, so it was like, "oh it's them again"
Bakuto was interesting, even a bit charismatic, but he wasn't a strong villain, he appeared late in the season, was a bit shady, and quickly beat so yeah, disappointing.

How did you watch the Marvel shows, btw? Did you watch them in order?

I agree about Bakuto, not as terrifying and sinister as I hope he'd be. I mean, I like Gao more than Bakuto and all Gao ever did was be shady, talk and be badass.

I like to watch everything in the order they were released

Gao is amazing!! She is shady and she can be scary because we never know exactly what she is hiding under her sleeve... Bakuto was less layered once we found out he was a bad guy there wasn't much more we wanted to know about him IMO
