This whole season I've been so unsure how I felt about Hank, I kept going back and forth on him, but I know where I stand after last night. That was SO amazing, and then when he said he made a promise to protect Alex, I was done.

How can you not love MM after telling Alex of his promise to her dad? Beautiful moment.

MM is already an amazingly kind-hearted character in the comics and tying some of that up with the existing characters on the show and their relationships with him was just such a great move

I'm not well-versed in the comic world. First saw MM on Smallville.

I sort of on-and-off ditched entirely for a couple of weeks there. I've been a bit busy

But heeey

There is so much more to MM than what you got to see on Smallville. They didn't show us his backstory at all, basically. An important part of why he is who he is as a character is tied up with his backstory. All the pain and loss that he has had to endure losing his world and his family, shaped him into a pure hero. He's determined to prevent what happened to Mars to happen to other planets.

That makes me want to learn more about him, especially as an under-appreciated superhero. Youtube, here I come! (After a night's sleep, since it's 1:32 AM so I must go soon).

Kinda of same for me. I just wasn't a fan of him before the reveal as he did nothing for me. Than after the reveal it was like BAM. I loved this character when he was on Smallville so the reveal was just for me

It felt a bit too obvious for me that they were going for a similar setup to the Reverse Flash on the Flash. So yeah, i was a bit on the fence about Hank too. As an Anti-Hero he never really held the same appeal to me as the Reverse Flash did. Understandably so, Hank Henshaw from the comics are usually fullblown Cyborg Superman everytime we see him and he basically wants to die. Good Anti-Heroes can't really be that one-dimensional.

It is a pretty nice twist to the idea that the guy hiding something, turned out to be hiding a good secret instead. One of the best secrets in the DC Universe in fact

I love that the producers sat on the secret for quite a while before telling David whst they were planning to do. It makes the decision work even better than it would have anyway, and really enhances the nuances of his performance.

Yes it is. I read some of the MM comics which is why he is one of my favorite characters and I love him on Smallville as well even if we didn't know much of his backstory, I was happy with how much we did see of him.

I always play with the character on the DC Comics video games as well.
So, I am happy to see what we will get from him on Supergirl.
