He's not actually lying to her though, he's just playing a joke on her which she catches on to quickly once she sees his smile. Also the wording plays a big part as well, he simply said three years not 'you've been asleep (or in a coma) for three years'.

There is no hidden meaning. Lucifer is a sarcastic character whose passion is messing around...is all forms.

This was super cute. His line that he's going to fix it reminded me of a scene in Angel:
"I'm gonna fix this. Promise. I'm gonna get you back. I need you back."
It should have been kept.

Thanks for the link Kat_d8! It's a beautiful scene but I can understand why they cut it, there was a lot happening in that episode and that scene while lovely is filler, it doesn't really add much.

Ashes Fall there are a couple more deleted scenes that have been posted online, but I'm not sure how many, a youtube search of 'Lucifer deleted scenes' should yield some results.

One (2x16 'God Johnson') actually answers an earlier question of ours as it has Maze directly stating that she's a daughter of Lilith. Damn it's a good scene! We never see her so vulnerable!
