yeah it is a difficult task virtually have to spend an hour extracting an episode to cut down into small blocks but if you mix and match footage like an S4 scene followed by S1 and then S3 etc then you should get enough

Then again could just use a sub 3 minute Beach Boys era tune to make it easier........thats if Windows Movie Maker on Vista will co-operate

the storyboard keeps jamming on Windows Movie Maker so half the develop time would probably be unjamming the storyboard so i can see what i am doing when cutting clips etc

I think the popular fan music videos makers use iMac's and sometimes i wish i had one oh well just got to carry on and work through it

i had a bit of luck yesterday and managed to insert more scenes in so thats good news

Another good thing is that the Travis Mayweather character got a good run towards the last half of Season 4 so that makes finding material is easier, it's interesting that he was prominant in Season 1 and 4 while virtually a cardboard cutout in Seasons 2 and 3

hmm ... I hadn't realized that his screen time picked up towards the end. Overall, the character was sadly under used.

Maria - Totally agree. I can't make avatars either. The thought of people finding and arranging clips to music, just boggles my mind. There are some very talented people around here.

I like how the pros of avatar making put so much into such little space as for videos it's tough putting stuff in a suitable order and finding the perfect soundtrack for example i can't think of anything yet to go with the Travis clips maybe something with a theme of flying will do but with all my CD's and MP3's around me i can't figure it out

Frank Sinatra has some songs about the moon and flying...a little old for some tastes but it's a good topic
short song lengths too, don't want to make an epic first time around

Good point. It would be easier to get acquainted with the process of making a video if your first attempt isn't a marathon.

I'd think the Sinatra song would be considered a classic, although it may deter some people. What's modern now, will be dated soon enough.

I finally got some good news, i switched the DVD ripping from WMV to MPG files and now the scenes are able to be processed on Windows Movie Maker and therefore speeding up the process..........what took days to insert 40 seconds of footage taken one hour

I expanded the Travis theme by including the NX-01 and Shuttlepods since they are his delight plus it seems to fit in musically and don't forget his romance moments in In a Mirror Darkly Part 2 and Demons/Terra Prime so i am rapidly getting what i need thank goodness Manny Coto given him extra air time in those final half dozen episodes of Enterprise
