To me all the original movies are a lot better than the three jj abrams movies.

I have to agree with that..for me I have never put the JJ movies in the bracket of the TOS / TNG movies, they are completely different for me

I've enjoyed the JJ Abrams movies. It helps to look at them as a fresh start, not a continuation of what's happened in the past.

The casting of Khan was really odd to me. Benedict was a terrific villain, but was too much of a departure from the established character.
