Request Regulars/Off Topic #292: Summer is coming

At least I hope it is.

Johnnie - sounds like you had a good weekend of gaming.

Nicer weather here today. Got out for a walk this morning.

Weekend was pretty good

High priority to watch NCIS LA finale when I get home, was very hard to resist looking up what happened before watching.

Glad the weather allowed for a walk for you

Yeah, last episode... I guess it was as good as could be expected... but felt more like a season finale than a series finale.

One thing that disappointed me

Spoiler:

Think I'm gonna go play Zelda for a lil bit before deciding what else to do. Don't really want to play WoW atm, tomorrow I'll have more to do again when reset comes.

Need to get back to the NCIS Franchise but think many are aware of how I get distracted easily

Played Zelda with the console long enough earlier that I think the battery must have got low and I didn't notice... kept prompting me to detach the side pieces and use them as a controller... so I just put it on to charge. I did make it to what I would consider one of the first dungeon type areas, though I don't think it's actually a dungeon... but there's lot of mobs around.

ETA: Played for a few hours on hardcore... Probably won't play again until next Sunday or Monday on that server... unless I try and get stuff in the wilderness where the chances of dying are much, much less. Might see if I can play Zelda for a few minutes before I go back to sleep... had a nap earlier... mostly stopped playing Zelda since it was prompting me to play on the TV, when I don't think I currently have my switch hooked to it.

Sounds like a lot of gaming.

We went out for fish and chips last night for supper. It's been a while, so it really hit the spot.

Been doing a fair bit.

Got some more Zelda in earlier, got a feeling the area I'm currently in I probably shouldn't be in yet given how tough the enemies are. I think there may be another ability at least that I haven't unlocked yet either. Made it to the Gerudo Desert, got a few ports there, might end up going a different direction though, seems hard to get to where I marked as a boss keeps one shotting me.

Glad dinner went well.

It's good that you're enjoying the game.

Supposed to be another frosty night here. Brought my hanging baskets close to the house to help protect them.

I seem to remember being able to hold more weapons in the old Zelda game... not sure if that's something I'll be able to do later or if I'll be stuck with the same amount.

Hanging baskets? Flowers?

Guess you'll have to play a bit more to find out.

Went to Shoppers yesterday and they were offering a $10 gift card if you spent $50. I easily got to the $50 stocking up on some sale items. The cashier offered to apply the gift card to my purchase, except he put in a $1,000 credit instead of $10. We both gaped at the credit balance for a bit before he figured out his mistake and got it corrected.

The town had a hazardous waste drop off today for stuff like batteries, pharmaceuticals, used motor oil, empty paint cans .... waited in line 50 minutes to drop our stuff off. They had lots of volunteers to take the waste, so obviously a lot of people were taking advantage of it.
