Pretty good then. Not like a $300 phone at $20 off, really worthwhile when it's something less money. Like when I got Starlink for $70 off for 29.99. Now for them to put my DLC/toys on sale.
ETA: Forgot my Diet Pepsi at home, might be an interesting day... I could quickly go home and get it but it's storming outside and I'd rather not go out into it until I'm off work, though I wouldn't be surprised if I need to go shovel again, maybe even more than once before work is over. __________________

Dave - that sounds reasonable, but still it's an unexpected expense. Will you be able to keep the same phone number?

I dislike rice, prefer mac and cheese.

We usually have potatoes with a meal, but rice is a nice change

Johnnie... I'd never by a cell phone over 100.... unless I had 1000s of dollars... on the plus side of things ...2-3 days to wait for my new phone to ship...I found a site that lets you download google play... so that means free games on my computer...but the games are a bit slower.. |

Yeah, they are expensive, I guess it's not really a landline per say. Magicjack - if you have existing internet it basically uses the internet as a phoneline. It looks a little more expensive right now (maybe no sales) But when I got it I was able to add 5 years of service for $100 US, granted I got to pay about $10 US a year to keep a number for people can call me... So probably about $150 for 5 years of phone.

Johnnie- my dad tried that... he said some people got bad service... I had a lan line back then for my mom's sake b/c she liked to talk to her kids on the phone... I haven't had a lanline in 7 or so years

I'm sure that's the case with a number of providers. I don't really have any issues as I don't use the phone that much... Was going to cancel my landline and go phone-less til I went that route... pretty much a waste of money for me to have a phone... only thing I generally use it for is to call for pizza or garlic fingers at the grocery store.

I've heard bad things about Comcast.
Around here there's pretty much only two choices for Internet, local-wise anyway. __________________

I think less and less people have those these days, so many people with cell phones.
