Amazingly enough, it's already within him to love her SO much that he would wait 200 years just to tell her how much he loves her
 . Simply because the grief of losing her without her NOT knowing is too devastating for him. And he did whatever it took to regain the life he had, by turning time back so that Kira lives and his younger self never knows the grief of losing her. Except as a distant memory. That was his older self saying, "If you ever think you can live without her, here's something to remember ... you can't." So much so that when the Founder tells him she intends to sentence Kira to death, he remembers that immense feeling of loss. BAM -- spell broken. Nobody harms the woman he loves, even when he knows she's angry with him. Kira will always be the one person in the universe Odo can't live without. __________________
