Has anyone read the e-book "I, the Constable" ? It is set right after "the Long Mirage"


I'm reading it now and even if it's a Odo centered book,





it's cute how he starts each letter with "My dear Nerys"

It's cute that he would go to O'Brien for advice. It's one of the things that was really nice about his character development. He went from considering himself an expert on human behavior as a profound observer, to then having a multitude of experiences-- becoming Curzon, becoming a humanoid, being restored to himself, and really finding that he knows a lot less about what it is to be human then he ever really did. Such a great story.

BTW, I noticed this on amazon the other day and thought it looked cool:

Well said. Odo comes to gain a different perspective from building friendships and relationships rather than just observing.

As Odo himself says: You know, Nerys, observing humanoid relationships ... and being in one are very different things.

That line would make a good title.

Our first scene of a post-kiss, canon romantic Odo/Kira!





The flirty banter and the slow lean, ending with the tender forehead touch.

After re-watching that scene, we see all these subtle moments of new intimacy between them:
- Kira taps his chair in the ward room as she walks by it to take her own seat. So when Odo sits down, he's now leaning against the headrest that Kira's hand was on moments before.
- When everybody else leaves, Odo gently nudges her shoulder/arm as he stands up almost as a signal to show that the Chief of Security from the meeting is gone and "her" Odo's in the room, the "real" him.

I remember savoring each and every single O/K interaction we had after "His Way" aired. So I'd keep re-watching them, memorizing every single detail, nuance, etc. After so many years/seasons of angst, I was super excited for some happy couple moments.

Here's the video of their moment alone in the ward room in "The Reckoning" .



Note, as soon as everybody leaves he taps her shoulder lightly and she smiles at him.
