Fantansy To Reality

When it comes to fantasy in television as a fan how much of the fantasy is portrayed in the reality of a fan?

I'd say that most of the Star Trek fans I know are realists. Sure, there are people who enjoy dressing up for conventions and such, but I don't think that means that they're not in touch with reality.

What type of conventions are these and what do they represent as a star trek fan?

When comes to a fan's favorite show period do fans take meaning from parts of that show and put it into the reality of thier lives?

I"ve got no idea what you mean? This would seem to easily fit on the other thread you've started, so I'm going to close this and move the posts over there.

I mean they can distinguish the fictional Star Trek universe from reality.

Do you think fans take parts of fantasy as yourself and take messages from the characters or show as a whole and place it in thier reality?
