Looking back at the show’s initial backstory with the Cardassian occupation of Bajor. One has to appreciate the irony of Cardassians like Damar ultimately needing Kira to help lead a resistance to liberate their planet from the Dominion.
They thought they were on the winning side and it cost them dearly. They were probably the biggest casualty of the war. Feels like long overdue karma. Though I don’t believe all Cardassians deserved what happens to their planet. |
:nod: It was understandably very difficult for Kira to put aside her past with the Cardassians and work with them towards a common goal. A good reminder that while we need to remember the past, we all have to move on at some point.
