Actor Chris Pine to wave green flag at 100th Indy 500 | WISH-TV

Hollywood is coming to Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced actor Chris Pine will wave the green flag at the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chris Pine to our flag stand, where he will officially get our epic race under way by waving the green flag,” said Indianapolis Motor Speedway President Doug Boles.

Pine has starred in such films as “Horrible Bosses 2”, “Into the Woods”, and “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.” He will next be seen in “Star Trek Beyond.”
