Somebody thinks Chris would make a good Flash Gordon:

"Pretty much. Yeah..."

Thanks for the news, Martin!

I wouldn't mind seeing him as Flash Gordon.

hmm ... I don't know that I really see Chris as Flash Gordon, but he could certainly try to convince me.

Perhaps he could convince us. . He just seems so perfect for Thor, and trying to portray a different superhero ... would just seem odd to me.

That is a high priced cast if they ever decide to use some of those actors inthe Re make of Flash Gordon

Actually, to be totally honest about it... I would prefer they try to find some unknown actors or at least those who are not so well known. Let's give some new people a chance to shine. And, as has been pointed out already, Chris is already convincing as one superhero in two successful franchises, so perhaps he can stick with those to be a superhero and try different things in other roles.

Though, if he DOES play Flash Gordon, you can bet I will be making an effort to watch the movie!

Rob - I can certainly see them wanting one or two established names to draw people in, but otherwise, I agree with you about giving newbies a chance.

Can't say I have a clear memory of the original.

I remember watching the original several years ago, but I can't say that it made a great impression on me, as I don't remember most of it.

I would still watch the original now, just for childhood memories

Maybe you can keep it in mind for the next time you have a lazy afternoon Tracey.
