I really enjoyed it, was a bit confused at the end when Picard was alive and in what seemed to be a different reality or something. I take it Q must have pulled him out of that situation or something.

Was nice to see Guinan again, hope we see her for more episodes, it's hard to say when she has a bar that is not on a star ship. Looks like it's a Ten Forward though.

I thought it was an ok premiere

- So Picard being a simbinet looks like it's been completely dropped..
- So what's all this with stuff with Laris, strange I thought, forced...
- Good scene with Guinan, lovely to see her...
- So is everyone going to forget Bev then or can't remember her name
- Interesting flashback with young Jean-Luc and his Mum, letting us see how he got to be what he become
- Good to see Elnor in Starfleet
- Seven being Seven and she had a good point about the Borg
- Wonder what that Borg wanted with Picard and it's a new look
- Rios being in command of the new Stargazer was a nice touch and he still has his cigar..
- So Q has arrived!, what has he got up his sleeve this time...?

I was expecting to see the Borg Queen actress but alas it's something different.

I was freaking out the entire time I watched this premiere! In a good way! I LOVED SEEING GUiNAN AGAIN!! and Q!! OMG!! it was awesome!

Not too sure about the whole Picard/Laris thing... cause... ummm..... BEVERLY? Did they not remember his love for her that lasted YEARS?

Don't like the Laris & Picard thing, they didn't have that kind of vibe for me in s1. I agree that it seems forced. Like they didn't want Bev on the show or something.

Nice to see Raffi, Rios, Elnor and everyone doing well.

Rios with the cigar on the bridge seemed silly. Does he have an ashtray at the chair?

Seeing Seven with his former ship and his holograms was great!

And what a treat that we got to see Guinan in the first ep!

It's like the writers have had brain block.. I thought the friendship between them in S1 was lovely, but yes this was very forced...

Also I did because the episode completely ignored what happened in S1 apart from one throw away line..

- not sold on the idea of Picard and Laris, although her " are you seeking or running" indicates that she does know him
- Raffi is interested in Seven?
- Both these potential romances seem to have come from out of the blue
- nice to see Elnor graduating Starfleet
- nice mention of Spock in regards to his book, and a ship named after Sulu
- Guinan! "you'll always be captain to me" after Picard corrects her that he's an admiral now
- quite the different look for the Borg. Why was everybody so slow to react when it extended the tentacle things to plug in to their computer consoles?

agreed, although as Tracey mentioned, we seen Rios with the cigar last season, so it did provide continuity

Guinan made a brief mention of it. I wouldn't be disappointed if the synthetic storyline is dropped. Although maybe it will be something that helps Picard defeat the Borg?
