I'm glad the story is now including Michael's relationship with Amanda.

It was good to see what Ash is up to. I'm glad he got away from the Klingons, though.

Awesome to see Philippa back! She was so badass!

I loved that Tilly confided with Michael so that they were able to help her.
to the above points

Yeah, I love that she denied being the emperor saying she was the former captain of the Shen-zhou.

I found the Klingon bits in this eppy really dark. Agree with you about wanting some more light hearted moments between the crew. Although we do get a bit of that between Michael and Sylvia.

Liked the mention of the Klingons growing their hair out since they're no longer at war.

Really enjoyed seeing Amanda again.

Michael's admission that she deliberately did something to compromise her relationship with Spock helps explain why any of the previous Spocks never mentioned her.

I"m glad Tilly finally admitted what was going on with her to Michael, and that Stamets was able to help. Although in previous versions of Trek wouldn't they have tried to communicate with the creature first?

Loved seeing Phillipa again.

Curious as to what will happen to Ash now.

Spock doesn't talk that much about his family and childhood anyway, so I wouldn't be surprised of any other news (as long as they are not out of character).

I wonder if they will make any references to Sybok for fun though.

Probably, good idea to bring section 31 back.

A mention of Sybock would be a nice touch of continuity.

It will be interesting to see where the section 31 storyline goes.

I preferred the look of the klingons with hair. They clearly agreed with fans on changing their look.

bald Klingons looked really strange to me. It was good to see them with hair, and have the explanation about it being because the war was over.
