The 3x01 gif! That's the first time I noticed that Tyler winks at her when he arrives.

Extremely and I didn't buy into it for a second that anything she said would interest him.

I honestly thought at first that his pursuit of Caroline was a way for him to hurt Elena (seduce and hurt her friends).

I thought it was a subconcious way to hurt Tyler, he tried so bad to control Tyler, to have him be subervient, but Tyler always kept trying to get his freedom back - Klaus couldn't take that will away from him, so he took everything else that he could

The fact that he compelled Tyler to bite her should forever be used against him in reasons why Klaroline should never be allowed to be a legit thing. I still can't believe that they regressed Caroline enough to actually have sex with him. It was bad enough that Klaus used Tyler's body to try and do that in season four (which is basically RAPE when you think about it)

What makes it worse is that it was just sex for the sake of sex. She wanted a piece of action, that's it. No feelings, no desire of a relationship, nothing.

Yep, the definition of fan service - when there's no reason for it to happen but the writers force it anyway.

You gotta wonder what was going through Caroline's head at the time (any guilt about Tyler? Was she picturing him?)

That's the thing, even if Caroline wanted to, she wouldn't be able to sleep with Klaus, even if she could push aside that he had killed Jenna & tried to kill all of her friends at some point, had tried to kill her, she wouldn't not think about the fact that he murdered Tyler's mother & that this would destroy him.

Her 'seeing the good in Klaus' doesn't make her this amazing, empathetic person, it makes her incredibly selfish & just plain stupid to ignore 1000's of years of murder - including the murders & torture of people that she knew, because she supposedly wanted to bang him

Another problematic thing about it is how shallow it made Caroline look. She had spent two years building this amazing connection with her old friend Tyler and it was like two lonely souls came together (vampire and werewolf) to create this deeply intimate connection...
Then suddenly this Sid Vicious wannabe comes to town, slaughters half of her friends then develops an obsession with her (with no reason given) and she suddenly wants to jump his bones? Plus how exactly was he more attractive than Tyler? Michael Trevino was built like Wolverine. Joseph Morgan was skinny by comparison. I just don't get it.

Me either, they had to make Caroline someone she wasn't at all to make it work. They completely ruined her, forwood & the show
