Looking at it now and even the beginning of S5 pretty much tells us.

Hand on heart, there was stuff happening in season 5 that had me really worried. I just thought maybe they were one offs. Glenn saying the group wouldn't separate again and then leaving the next episode was such a huge what the **** moment for me.

Looking back on it there was some hints in season 4 I wish I had noticed.

Yes! There was so much bs in S5! And I was already not liking it. The only thing I liked was Slabtown. And now watching it within the context of what happens makes it hard to watch.

I feel the same way about Slabtown. Emily was great and it was an intriguing episode but in context it was just an excuse to knock Beth around.

The expectations for season 5 were so high and I think tptb knew that so they let that be the draw instead of giving a **** and writing a good show.
