Mitchell and Annie(Being Human)#1: Because she refused to leave him!
 Being Human is a supernatural drama/comedy that recently aired on BBC America. It's about three friends who deal with being unique. One is a vampire. Another is a warewolf. And the third one is a female ghost. All three characters develop a special bond. They trust each other and accept each other. However, it's obvious that there is a romantic chemistry and connection between the vampire and the ghost. Mitchell is a vampire who has a tough time dealing with his supernatural urges. Annie is a ghost who refuses to leave the place where her and her fiancee had purchased right before her death. She later found out that her fiancee was actually the one who had killed her by pushing her off the stairs when he falsely thought that she was cheating on him. Mitchell and Annie find comfort and safety in each other. Whenever one is upset, the other is there to offer support. During a pivotal moment when Annie had the chance to go to heaven, she chose to stay when suddenly Mitchell was stabbed. She did not want to leave him. She lost her one chance to leave. They also shared an "accidental kiss" on the lips. Which was very cute and sweet. Not to mention that they've shared a ton of sweet hugs and moments as well. Season one consisted of 6 episodes. They are filming season two now. There will be 8 new episodes coming in January of 2010. I have seen some great music videos for them. Have not had the chance to watch episode but wouldn't mind seeing clips of them.

Oh, you should check out this channel on youtube. ALL 6 episodes are available there. And they are in excellent quality.
YouTube - Raxacoricon's Channel In terms of Mitchell and Annie shippiness, you'll see most of it in episodes 2-6. The first episode has one or two nice moments with them. But episodes 2-6 actually give more romantic hints. I JUST started to watch the show. My friend recommended it for me. So I caught up this very week on that youtube channel. Each episode is about 50 minutes long. And there are only 6 episodes in the first season. So it gives you a chance to catch up quickly. Totally worth it. It's one of those rare unique shows that you do not see anymore these days. Plus the actors are fantastic. And the chemistry between Mitchell and Annie is terrific. __________________

Are they coming out with another season?

Yes, they are actually filming season two right now!
The show is back in January with 8 new episodes. Plus, Nina is now a main character on the show as well. __________________
