A mood. Unfortunately, it's hardly ever the case and the character stuck in between the two ships tends to end up getting ruined.

As far as soaps go, I never liked the Nikolas/Emily/Zander triangle on GH. Why we were suppose to root for Emily to cheat on Zander in the house he bought her as a wedding present with Nik never sat right with me, nor the way they threw Zander under the bus to make that pairing "work"

Maria/Michael/Alex - I hate triangles. They are boring and unnecessary. Case and point this one.

The worst part of triangles is it always makes one of the shipping fandoms straight up .

I've only ever watched Emily/Nikolas on a playlist. I liked them but they were all I knew, to be fair. Even I can see they made Zander go insane and die. It wasn't fair. Once upon a time Emily/Zander did have something real. If only I could find the playlist.

Yup. If only. I'm scratching my head to think of a triangle done well.

Triangles are annoying, especially when instigators of fan wars pretend to be anything other then the troublemakers they are. Blaming one fandom is hilarious, especially when you are apart of an equally antagonising fandom yourself. This is being proven in the couples thread right now I guess even ‘too grown up’ can get petty as well

This is how I felt about Clexa Vs Bellarke. I didnt care like that to be embarrassing myself. I wanted Bellarke to be a couple and that was it. If Clexa were together, it was fine. When I had the Bellarke moments I was pleased. I had to block so many people on Twitter. Even on I couldn't see their posts.

When I was 14 I was bothered. Smallville days "Who will Clark choose?" LOL! But after the adolescent stage it's like your Roger Murtaugh.

Like the Star Wars wars. They have time and energy for these online fights. Go outside and touch some grass. A stranger cannot raise your blood pressure like this.

ITA. I'll try check out Roswell when I find time but I won't engage because when you're calm as a cucumber and someone's foaming at the mouth. It becomes stupid. Fandom has some fans fighting like their life is in danger.

Amber's Emily and Natalia's Emily were very different. I mean even when Natalia's Emily took over, I didn't get why she pushed Zander away when he only wanted to help, yet Nik helping her was okay? And then him kissing her cured her cancer? They acted like we were suppose to see Emily as a saint compared to the rest of the Quartermaines when Natalia played the role, but she was just as bad if not worse.

The whole thing was a rewrite, too. They acted like Nik had been waiting for Emily to grow up, when that is not at all what we saw on screen. She had a brief crush on him in the 90's but he only saw her as a kid sister. She quickly got over it by the time she started dated Juan, even before Zander. Heck they even seemed to forget Emily had been adopted by giving her breast cancer like Monica. She was not a blood Q. It was also ridiculous the way they acted like this was the first time Nikolas was ever in love, like they wanted to forget the entire time Tyler was gone and another actor played Nik didn't exist. Stefan was another character thrown under the bus for Nikolas/Emily.

Amber's Emily to me felt more like a real character. Despite her drug addition and struggles, I believed her more than Natalia's fairytale princess Emily, but that's just me. Plus, I felt like her connection with Zander (at least when Amber played Emily) was more organic -- he was trying to get away from a life of drugs, Emily herself was a drug addict and could sympathize with his predicament. To me that is just a more rich foundation than the cliche prince kisses princess and saves her from cancer stuff with Nikolas and Emily. Just my opinion though, I know there will be some Nikolas/Emily fans out there that see it differently.

The most annoying love triangles for me were:

Dawson/Joey/Pacey (Dawson's Creek)
Noah/Luke/Reid (As the World Turns)
Gwen/Jack/Ianto (Torchwood)
Spike/Buffy/Angel (BTVS)
Ste/Harry/James (Hollyoaks)

I can go on but those are the top ones for me.

Paper Hearts

There was only two for me:

Dawson/Joey/Pacey (Dawson's Creek)
Noah/Luke/Reid (As the World Turns)

The thing I particularly hated about these two triangles were that one of the people was completely insulted in the process. I believe that they didn't have to go that route with Noah, because I feel as though that Luke and him were already growing apart. And Luke & Reid's connection was very strong at that point in time. And even though I am a L&R shipper to the core, I will never forget Noah and how much he loved Luke and all of the things that they went through together.

But, basically, no matter how you look at it, triangles SUCK. And I hate the endgame that both shippers throw at each other. Calm down, it's just a show.

Yeah, it's a shame you have to go through this with TV shows sometimes. I just experienced it when Scandal was on. I was attacked and stalked by so many Fitz/Olivia fans on Youtube cause I liked Jake/Olivia but I usually just don't engage and argue with crazy so I usually ignore and mute cause I just don't care. People creating narratives that the actors are together or fooling around, not believe their happily married, attacking and threatening the actors, etc. Like WTF why? Calm the hell down. It's just a fictional TV show, it ain't real *shrugs* Like I said in the past, I don't think I've ever liked one triangle. Their usually half assed pissing contests where they toss both fanbases crumbs and make one, two, or all three people in the triangle look awful and it all amounts to nothing. Triangles are just lazy and pointless.

I will never understand turning it from the fictional ship to IRL shipping and making up theories either. Like whatever helps them sleep at night or not sleep in this case, but bizarre.

All CW triangles are the worst because they make some people feral. If your couple is endgame and you're sure of it, why foam at the mouth? Just let the calm general audience shippers enjoy the ride while you pull your hair out over a CW show.

That's what gets me. It's a CW show.
