My first couple ever. This book made me fall in love with reading, and Jo/Laurie totally made me a shipper.
God, I can't ever not love them. __________________

If I think about it, they were probably mine too. I mean I wasn't obsessed with them when I first read it, but I was so sad when they didn't end up together. I remember flipping through the last half of the book, trying to find any clues that Jo had changed her mind. The love kept building the more times I read it.

I don't even know what drew me to the book. I found it in my classroom in the fourth grade and I used to read when we had reading time and then at lunch because I couldn't take it home, and I just fell in love with the book. I think it was probably because I loved the characters of Jo and Laurie.
It took me a month to finish. In the last week my teacher saw how into it I was and she let me take it home. Jo/Laurie weren't perfect. They weren't ready for eachother at the time Laurie proposed, they both needed to grow up in different ways. But they accepted each other, they were best friends, they had spark and passion. __________________

It was during the fifth grade that I checked it out from the library solely on the fact of how big it was. It didn't take me long to read it at all once I'd gotten into it.
They truly did accept each other wholly, something that Bhaer did not do for Jo. And Laurie/Amy was just... odd. __________________

LA worked in a way. They were very...evenly paired. But I never saw any passion there, any intensity.
I hated Jo/Bhaer though. AL were decent to me, weird but decent. But if Alcott didn't want Jo to marry then she shouldn't have. Marrying Bhaer was just Jo emotionally coping out. He was easy to love because he was sooo passive. Thats not real love. Plus Laurie always loved, praised, and accepted her writing. Bhaer thought she could do better simply because he found it immoral. I don't see what it had to do with believing in her. She wanted to write those stories! Considering Alcott wrote those types of stories, I wonder why she put that in. __________________

Ah, these two are beautiful
I admit, I've only seen the film but I fell in love with them in the movie and I've wanted to read the book since then, but I was heartbroken over the fact that they never ended up together and I just couldn't bring myself to read it when I knew they don't get their happy ending. I will eventually though |

Jo/Laurie are amazing together! I still get upset thinking that they didn't end up together by the end.

The book is amazing. It is sad, so I can understand not reading it, but JL are a trillion times more amazing in the book.
And they're pretty stunning in the movie, so imagine. __________________

Love, love them. They're the reason I throw the book across the room everytime, though. I guess that's kind of good, since they're so great together it frustrates me so much when they don't get together. They were great in the movie, really had a fantastic portrayal of the relationship.
