Considering Jane is in a state of sleep-deprivation and having weird dreams, I'd say the Chavez scene is definitely a dream. As for the line about things "clicking into place" in a few episodes, that worries me a little. I don't want everything to be resolved with Jane and Michael in a few episodes. And it wouldn't make a lick of sense for it to be anyone else. But would they go there? Would they have Jane get engaged to someone else and start planning a wedding? I just can't imagine how that would fit into the current storyline at all. We'll see. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, they usually come through with something awesome.

I think whoever things start "clicking with" in the next episode...is not the person she'll be marrying.

I was thinking the same thing, particularly since it's been said that Jane will try dating again. It makes more sense things would click with someone else sooner than with Michael. I feel like Jane and Michael is going to be something that continues to build slowly as she tries to move on and he continues to be distant until they wake up and realize they want to be together. It's my hope anyway .

I hope so...I would much prefer things "clicking" with someone else at this point. I can see Jane attempting one last time to move on from Michael and finding it's easier with someone else. But I still want her to have a moment where she decides she wants to fight for him. If she's passive about interacting with Michael and circumstances just happen to throw them back together, it will fall a little short for me. If she knows she still loves him and wants him, she ought to do what she can to make things right between them.

Lol, it just occurred to me that no where in my mind is there a space for things to "click" into place with Rafael. It's just not even in the realm of logical possibilities. I hope they can fall into a comfortable parenting relationship, although that will probably be too much to hope for, since they will have to throw bones to the Rafael fans.

There's no way they could successfully pull that off after all these revelations Jane has had about Michael. If they did, it might be the ultimate surprise, but it would also discredit the entire show in my opinion.

Michael is endgame, at least for this season. I think the reason they gave Jane all her revelations about him is so that it makes sense when he is the "surprise" at the end. Surprises still have to obey the emotional state of the characters, or else it makes all the viewers angry. I would imagine Jafael fans being upset if there was zero build up to a wedding, and we likewise would be upset at being set up and tricked. Nobody wins that way.

I also don't think Jane will get engaged to anyone else. She'll either be engaged to Michael and marry him, or she won't be engaged, and they will get married suddenly.

For the record, I really hate the storylines where a character is dating someone and ends up leaving that person and suddenly marrying someone else. Makes me so frustrated, because all I see is a bunch of dishonesty and emotional cheating. I really hope Jane doesn't seriously lead some poor guy on while being in love with Michael and then leaving said poor guy to marry him. I don't mind if she dates people casually, but a serious relationship would pose a lot of problems for me if they plan on having her marry Michael in a few months.

It's my worst fear . But I'm not sure how they could pull that off in a way where it would make sense. Unbridledbeauty has the best explanation on this so I'm not going to elaborate much more but this season has been Michael's time to shine, much like how last season was Rafael's. Michael and Jane has been the main story and they haven't really shown Jane feeling anything romantic for Rafael since last season. Even if they began heading that way again, I couldn't envision them being in a place where they could get married by the time this half of the season wraps up. Having the majority of the season be about Jane claiming to love Michael and choosing him and then turning around to not only choose Rafael instead but marry him, when their moments would be spread out between Jane dating others, MJ dealing with their outside issues and Jane's feelings for him and whatever might happen between Rafael and Petra (because part of me sees the show going there too) would just be really extreme. Choosing Rafael is one thing, to marry him is another. If I were a JR fan, I wouldn't want some half-a**** buildup to their wedding and it's also not fair to the MJers to get strung along. It'd just spell disaster all around. For this season at least, it only really makes sense for Jane to marry Michael. What will happen after that is anyone's guess. But if they tried pulling the above scenario off (and it's something that will linger in the back of my mind all season) I'd end my time with this show no questions asked because that would be a plain ridiculous move writing-wise and I'm beyond done getting jerked around by showrunners.
