"Outlander" follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate relationship is ignited that tears Claire's heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.

The "Outlander" series, adapted from Diana Gabaldon's international best-selling books, spans the genres of romance, science fiction, history and adventure into one epic tale. From Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore, "Outlander" - the series is set to premiere on STARZ August 9 in the US.

It seems they have gone above and beyond to stay true to the books. And from all indications Diana's been the most excited and has had nothing but positive comments from what she's seen thus far.

The videos look amazing. The bonus is it's first half runs Aug 9 thru Sept. 27th. So it ends just as OUAT commences so it should occupy my time and thoughts and hopefully ease the longing for Captain Swan until the Premiere.

So it's a win/win for me.

I really can't wait for it to air.

A friend had told me about this series back in 2010 and I had put it on my tbr list (which is always riduclously long). Never got around to it. I'm a huge fan of the author Karen Marie Moning and belong to the group on FB and a lot of the girls are huge fans of this. One of the girls I know somewhat well urged me to read it. With the news of the tv show I finally read it last summer and kicked myself for waiting so long.

I'm almost finish with the 4th book right now and I swear I fall in love with Jamie even more with every book.
