I finally got around to watching the end of Veronica Mars, Tanith. It wasn't an :no: outcome but it wasn't a :cheers: either. Logan did beat the **** out of a guy who called Veronica a bitch and she kinda smiled when he did it. Then she gave him a longing look as he walked away but it wasn't what it should have been. :shrug: And because we'll never see what happens next, I can't say for sure if our ship has been sunk.

I was watching a T7S finale thing on YouTube and Mila was saying she got pantsed quite a bit on the show since she was the baby of the cast. Who do you think pantsed her the most? :P

I think they just wanted to make it seem sexy and real. I kinda have a feeling it was Danny's idea, too. ONLY because she's so much younger and because she didn't do that with Ashton, and Danny's personality is very...what's the word, persuasive. :lol: I just mean that he's very outgoing and he just seems like he wanted to be a good actor and he probably wanted it to look good. And he seems very affectionate in real life. Look at how he kisses in public. PDA doesn't embarrass him or make him nervous.

Mila seemed to be cool with it, and seemed to have fun with it, like let's go for it. :P

That's just my impression. 'Cause her and Ashton were cute but their kisses were just pecks. Awkward ones. But she was younger, too. I don't know. Not much. She was 18 at one point with Ashton and there was no kisses like she and Danny had.

Hyde's just too cool to kiss like a twirp and Danny knew that, end of story. ;)

Danny was very committed to his role. He may have been undervalued with the comedic material he was given but when he could, he really put in the effort. You just have to look at "I'm Free" and how pissed he is that Kelso is going to leave Brooke to raise the baby by herself. Even when the focus is off Hyde, he has that scowl on his face and looks to be in deep thought about another kid growing up without a dad. Look at this:

And if you watch the first scene of the episode, you can see Hyde's legs shaking quite a bit compared to his usual stoic state.

I don't think the show realised the talent they had in Danny. They certainly never paid attention to what jokes they gave him. Just by his voice you can tell he is the kind of guy who has a dry wit or could at least pull it off. But so many times he was given generic one liners that anybody could say and it simply wasn't character humour. The same happened with Mila, I think. Both got some of the smallest laughs because they weren't played to their strengths. Kelso got big laughs because his lines never ventured outside of idiocy. Fez always got big laughs because there was a sexual innuendo with everything he said. Red always sounded like a hardass and Kitty was drunkenly chipper with what she said. Jackie and Hyde didn't always get that consistency. Unfortunately Danny and Dave Trainer went over the scripts to ensure Hyde didn't become too soft or open. Pft. Danny's protectiveness of his character might have kept us from seeing Hyde let his guard down somewhat more openly.
